Natalie Bayer learned a lot about how to treat people in business from her father. “He has been a stockbroker for over 30 years,” she says. “Being in that line of work, with the ups and downs of the market, he never gave up or took work home with him. My father always puts everyone before himself, and he treats every client he has like his own family. If something morally doesn’t feel right, he is always honest about it, even though it might hurt him in the long run.”
In her receptionist duties at Eder, Casella & Co., Bayer now brings that same work ethic to the office every day. “We love her,” says Shelly Dercole, managing partner at the firm. “She always has a smile on her face and has a great can-do attitude.”
Married to Ethan Poglese, an accountant on the Eder, Casella team, Bayer previously worked at Hire Excellence as a recruiter after graduating from Northern Michigan University with a major in sociology and minor in social services. When she’s not busy keeping the McHenry office humming, the Highland, Park, Illinois native enjoys cooking, working out, and walking her yellow Labrador. “You may also find me hanging out with family and friends, or watching way too much Netflix,” she adds.
